Establishment of a Gas Department and Expansion of Joachim Grieg & Co
Over the last years Joachim Grieg &Co has expanded its activity and scope, based on Norwegian and international clients, within segments such as; chartering, sale and purchase of tonnage, and project development. As a continuation of their strategy to expand, they are now establishing a new department that will serve the global gas market from January 2010. The new department will serve all the main actors in the segment with regards to every day chartering, sale and purchase of tonnage, and contracting. Joachim Grieg will also be able to offer excellent resources for analysiswithin the gas segment.
From the outset the department will have three employees with extensive experience from the gas market. During spring the department will be further strengthened. This will result in one of the leading gas teams in the world. Joachim Grieg & Co has until now been fully owned by Grieg Holdings. From 2010 however, up to 45% of the company will be owned by the employees. The new employees in the gas department will own approximately 1/3 of the employees share. It is believed that the new owner structure will promote creativity and efforts on behalf of the customers, and that it will enable Joachim Grieg to attract excellent brokers also in the future. The company has an ambitious growth strategy, and is aiming for further new establishments in additional segments in the year to come. |
